I will start by wishing my Muslim friends a happy Eid-ul Maulud. In the spirit of the celebration today was declared public in my country and it is indeed a wonderful one.
I stayed indoor working on few projects and trying to beat my deadline. My boss was reluctant and hesitant about granting us the privilege of enjoying the holiday since we worked from home yesterday but he finally let us be when we promised him that we were going to work hard even today to finish up with our projects.
It was not easy keeping that promise but I made sure to put in my best. My neck started aching from overworking myself thus i decided to visit my friend who just returned from Canada. She lives in Victoria Garden City and even though she is hardly around insists on keeping the mansion than buying smaller house.
First place I went to when i arrived at her mansion was to visit her garden. It was so beautiful with a water front view. Even though the garden needs to be worked on I still find it soothing and it calmed my nerves.
We walked round the garden enjoying the serenity and the beauty of nature. She saw few red chilli peppers and she harvested them to prepare a sumptuous meal with them.
We also went to the pawpaw tree ready to harvest some for ourselves but we noticed that they need more time before they will be ready to be harvested . Atleast in a week or two weeks.
There is also coconut tree and it was quiet unfortunate that just like the pawpaw, the coconuts need some time too before they would be ready to be harvested.
By the time that we finished exploring her garden I felt better and ready to go back home. She treated me to a sumptuous meal and offered to drop me to my house but I declined because I needed that short walk back to my house. The estate is eco friendly and it screams peace of mind.
She asked that I come back sooner and I am really considering that because I would love to harvest those coconuts and pawpaws myself.
