One thing that i am well gifted at is a good discerning spirit. I am not the type of woman that can be easily be deceived or cajoled into taking a bad advice but we are humans, sometimes our human nature will fail us despite how careful we are.
The worst advice that i have ever be given is when i was having problem in my relationship. My boyfriend then had accused me of so many unimaginable things that really made me question if he was truly the same person that i dated for five years. The relationship was getting too toxic and I know it will soon hit rock bottom but his friend gave men this terrible advice to win back the heart of my boyfriend.
He advised me to send him love messages morning, afternoon and night. Professing my love for him.
I should let him see how broken i am without him as the boyfriend was angry that it seemed i don't mind that the relationship was about to end.
This is something i will never do to in my life not to talk of doing it just to massage the ego of a proudman. I turned the advice down and bluntly told his friend that i will never stoop that low for any man. They called me a proud woman who cannot even do what it takes to salvage her relationship. He kept calling me to disturb me on this issue until i succumbed.
So i started sending love messages to my boyfriend every day assuring him of my love for him. I called him severally and he only answers when he want to and other times he will not answer my calls.
This actually backfired back at me as my self esteem went from 100% to 40%. Imagine begging a man and pleading for his love and for him to still stay committed in the relationship?. The worst thing a woman can do to her self worth. My boyfriend's bruised ego went from 40% to a freaking 100%. He must have felt irreplaceable, on top of the world and invincible.
I have to say enough is enough and put a stop to the craziness. It was a terriable place to be in and i swear never to go in there again. Whenever i ran into his friend and he try to come up with his silly advice again i shut him up.
Enough of your terrible advice John, they suck.
And he called me a proud woman.
Well better proud woman than a Stupid one.
I said goodbye and walked away.
