Yesterday was very frustrating for me because I found it very difficult to access hive through my peakd app. I thought maybe it was a network issue thus I have to restart the phone again so as to fix whatever the problem was.
Did that work?
Unfortunately No.

My plan was to submit this contest before I leave for the training in real estate by one of the best realtors that i know in Nigeria and the topic was strategies for massive sales in real estate. I got to the venue on time which offered me an ample time to write my blog but it seemed that there was a network glitch somewhere as my feeds on hive wasn't loading. I managed to concentrate on the training and also keep an eye on hive to know when it will start working properly again. Before the end of the day I have already rebooted my phone for like 20 times. Out of frustration I called @nkemakonam89 to complain to her about the challenges that I have been experiencing with my hive account since morning. She assured me that it's not just my account as some other people complained about it too. I still didn't lose hope but continued reloading my account with hope that it will eventually pick up. Well that did not happen at least not that day because when I opened my eyes it was 4:35am.
I can't believe I fall asleep with my phone on my still while hoping for my account to start functioning well again.
So to answer the question of this contest I will speak from a place of honesty. My life will be miserable without social media. Well I know there was a time we all live perfectly fine without social media but that era is long gone. Social media have changed the entire meaning of existence and survival. Almost 80% of what we do are all connected to social media. Many businesses both offline and online depends on social media to survive. I am leveraging on social media to attract more sales for my business around the world. This morning I read a post from a woman that asked her walk-in customer how she heard about her business and the customer replied social media. The training I went to yesterday the woman told us that most of her clients found her on YouTube and these people are in different parts of the world.
Social media is a leveler. No one knows who is who but if you package yourself well you will attract the right kind of people that you want. I know of a man named Stephen Akintayo who is a real estate billionaire. He said that many years ago he was so poor and skinny that no rich person will accept to do business with him. He went to the studio and take a professional picture of himself wearing a big suit which he borrowed. He uploaded this picture on all his social media handles. People start reading his posts on real estate and not long many people started buying from him. Social media have helped many businesses move from zero to 100. From the comfort of your home you can be able to reach a million people and more depending on how you have build your audience.
There are many knowledge that I acquired through social media. I can stay in my bedroom and take a course online. I have learned how to cook different delicacies to perfection through social media. If social media is banned today nothing will ever be able to fill up the vacuum.
Life will never be complete again.
