Hello hivers and happy Sunday to you all. In today's creative sunday i want to show you all my other part of artistry work.
For the record, i am never an artist but i am the type of person that like to try everything to see how good i can get at it and drawing is one of the many things i experimented on.
Being a story teller, i found it necessary to draw my characters while writing a story for my readers to enjoy and also not to stress themselves trying to get a mental picture of i was writing about. At a time they will marvel and admire the drawings that comes with my stories and other times they would be spell bound in the fashion aspect of my drawings that one thing a friend suggested that I should go into fashion.
On Friday, my daughter came home with an assignment that involved taking about bullying. Infact the topic was " War agaisnt bullying". They were expected to also print out a picture showing bullying or it can also be drawn. I happily chose the latter to try out my artistry skill again. I went in search of an easy to draw picture about bullying and luck was on my side as I was able to find one.
SO MY DRAWING WE USED
- white cardboard paper
- pencil
- paint markers
- pelican paper
- Glitters
- Eraser
- Water glue
First i started with a lighter pencil. This will make it very easier to clean especially when you make a mistake and need to use an eraser. It will also still leave your work clean and perfect.
When the drawing is complete and everything is perfect, i will now go in with the darker pencil. This will make the drawing more visible and attractive.
Next is to colour. They were being advised to use any four colours and so my daughter chose the four colours to be used and we dived in to give it a great look.
After the painting, we have then sprinkle some glitters on it to add to the aesthetic look of the drawing.
We used scissors to cut out the pelican paper to the size of the white cardboard we used for the drawing and then with a water glue,we stick the pelican paper at the back of the white cardboard paper. This is to beautify it and also make it more stronger.
My daughter and i talked about bullying and she explained to me all that she understand about bullying. She disclosed to me the way she has been bullied before in school and i told her how to handle such mean friends in school. I also made her to understand that bullying is never good and she should also in no circumstances accept to ever be bullied by anyone but to always stand up for herself by reporting to their head teacher and also to me their mother hen because no one dares bully my babies and go Scot free.
