In case your treadmill breaks down, instead of experimenting your handyman skills, because you obviously have no idea what/where the problem is, you should try to call the contact service or dealer from where you purchased the fitness machine.

However, before reporting any damage, you might also check what factor generated the breakdown, because you might be able to repair yourself, without the intervention of a specialist.

Plus, you will also become spared by the extra-costs of calling someone to your place.

Most times, the device does not require any repairs, because the break down was probably caused by the failure of an individual component.

In order to replace a ruined part, check the number of the model and the serial number written, somewhere on the machine, probably on the back side or something.

Also, there has to be a number of “errors”, which will eventually help you determine the cause of the malfunction.

As a rule, the error number is most of the times, displayed on the screen of your treadmill.

Most trainers possess the same type of alphanumeric code combination, but if you notice an error listed below this does not necessarily have to match with the sign showed on the screen.

Check the instruction and verify if the E1 notification indicates an error rate sensor.

In this case, turn off the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for one minute before turning the power on.

In case this method will not provide you any results, it’s probably time to contact your service center or reseller by communicating the error code.

The E6 and E7 notifications suggest you that the engine is up and running. The procedure is the same as when an E1 error appears on the screen.

Before contacting the service center, make sure the treadmill is disconnected from the power cord, then press the safety button (usually a safety switch).

Note that the treadmill will stop automatically if it is plugged for more than six hours (for some automatic shutdown models it varies from 3 to 5 hours). To restart the track, disconnect the power cord, and a few minutes later, reconnect it.

If the operations listed above do not provide any results and the treadmill is not yet working, drop everything and try to contact a specialist, because this is obviously beyond you.
