On November 1st, 2018, Ambr opened their airdrop campaign on facebook, and it closed on December 25th, with nearly 2000 participants. The most important thing we can learn from this, that airdrops attract many fraudsters. People who apply with bots and several accounts, with the soul purpose to gain as much tokens as possible. Usually they succeed in doing it, as it became more then easy to cheat those airdrops.
Having 1 person with to many tokens, will do no good for the token price, once the token hits the exchange. Many companies just ignore the fact that there are cheaters, or are unable to proof there are cheaters that applied to their airdrop.
The only way you can stop these fraudsters, is to ask as many information as possible, and manually check each application. So we have been busy for weeks, checking each application, and came to the conclusion, that we were only going to pay 276 participants. In this manual checking journey, we have seen people try all kinds of things. We have even found famous soccer players like Wayne Rooney, Sergio Ramos, Angel Di Maria and Christiano Ronaldo who have applied for our airdrop. Could it be that Ambr is hitting the critical mass?
