Hello, steemians! Welcome to my page, eh!
I finally got this song finished! LOL
This song is based on a poem that was written by @paintingangels about 3 months ago. I originally put this song together on my ukulele to play for an open mic entry. This version of the song is a little longer and I added bass guitar to it, as well as playing a little fill lead for the song on my ukulele. I sang both the lead vocal and the harmony vocal for this recording. Apparently my harmony vocal timing was just slightly different from the lead vocal in a few places, but that happens sometimes.
I really had to work at getting that lead fill recorded with the ukulele, but I'm happy with how it came out. I had finally gotten a good take on the lead, but after listening to it several times, I decided to do it over. I wasn't happy with the way it ended on a low note, so I rearranged the lead part and re-recorded it so that it ended on a high note. I had to run through the part a number of times to get my fingers to remember where to go on the strings, just to have a chance of getting a good take. Playing leads is not one of my skills...LOL
This song was recorded and mixed using the freeware DAW program Audacity and my Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio interface.

And, yes, there was a typo in the title of the post for the open mic performance when I posted it. I edited the title right away, but the link still shows the original typo. Interesting how that works. The link does work, I checked it to make sure. :-)
Thank you for stopping by my page to check out this post, and my music!
