As the gratitude queen, I love this so much, especially that I'm contributing to these good feelings in you :) It is more often that what's going well or right about our life situation becomes hidden or unacknowledged. I think as humans we are hardwired for pleasure and feeling good, just as much as we're hardwired for assessing threats and managing problems. And I believe that authentic gratitude is not necessarily a "positive spin" as much as a clear seeing of reality as a whole, which builds resilience and attracts more of what we want.
My work is likely to be treated poorly by old boss no matter how awesome it turns out to be.
I know we talked about this, but the current situation at work sounds quite different than the past. Different conditions, context, and people involved. Given this reality, that's a big jump to assume your current work will be treated poorly by your old boss. I really love hearing that you're working to be less driven by expectations and more open minded, committed to staying relaxed, and only doing things you enjoy.
