Death in the Marvel comics is not final, but returning to the living is always exciting. It's no different in the comic book Phoenix: The Resurrection. The return of Jean Gray, in which we have just reappearance of the heroine known as Marvel Girl.

Phoenix: Resurrection. Jean Gray's Return is not a particularly complicated comic book. It is hard to expect a complex story with a multitude of ambiguous threads. The author of the script, Matthew Rosenberg, directs us towards spectacular events, while the sublime moments that deepen the drama of the characters will find their place only at the very end.

Before that, the X-Men team breaks into smaller teams and sets out to find Phoenix. Parallel to these events, we will observe the fate of a young woman named Jean, who begins to have nightmares and experience unusual events taking place while awake.

A team of superheroes led by Kitty Pryde embarks on a dangerous mission, still mourning the loss of Jean Gray. They don't know yet who they will eventually meet on their way, but before that happens, they will have to face tough duels with the Phoenix forces. These moments are responsible for dynamizing the story and offering readers original clashes strongly referring to the heritage of X-Men.

It becomes interesting, but thrilling only when you observe a parallel narrative set in an idyllic reality in which Jean Gray functions. Just like in the WandaVision series, there are interesting leads showing that reality is failing, that something is wrong here. One of the customers of the coffee shop where Jean works is a person who resembles Magnet, and when the heroine has to go to a mechanic, he looks very similar to Logan. These are the most interesting moments of Rosenberg's comic, which were additionally supported by great drawings by Leinil Francis Yu, Carlos Pacheco, Joe Bennett and Ramon Rosanas. The image seen by Jean and the real one were perfectly captured. Visually, it looks really interesting and allows us to better engage in the heroine's drama.

Phoenix: Resurrection. The return of Jean Gray will be an interesting item mainly for X-Men fans, because many heroes appear here and we have a Phoenix clash with Jean. These are moments important for the history of mutants, and therefore more emotions will be felt by readers who are up to date with the fate of the characters. For the others, there is a fast-paced action and a number of threads that may seem irrelevant to the presented plot.

However, the ending of the comic deserves attention, which is spectacular in the lyrical layer, because we have an interesting confrontation between Jean and the team of mutants and Phoenix herself, as well as the visual one, because the drawings of the above-mentioned artists provide contact with really attractive frames. Perhaps not all of them Phoenix: Resurrection. The return of Jean Gray will carry it, but it is at times a really good blockbuster with an interesting finale. That's why it's worth it.
