Korea was just another country to me, because it a place of value and respect for each other, their forms of greetings elders in the homes and streets, there are on of the best countries in the world that values respect from each other. Now when we now look into their history, food, dramas and music Each new encounter opened my eyes wider, and before I knew it, I was hooked, as I have seen on TV movie and as I have read in books.
My first turning point was with K-drama, watching those series to me was very entertaining and it felt as if I was there in the movie, imagine myself having that kind of experience in my own real life. The respect and the love for each family is incomparable with some other cultures in the world, and the sacrifices parents make for their kids’ education, and the strong bonds of friendship that hold communities together. These dramas weren’t just stories; they were cultural lessons that give more real values Koreans.
Another thing is their k-pop music, I have seen many TV shows and many concerts, the energy and the passion use to captured me, the shows are very colorful and the rhythms to the beat are great with the producing sounds. With their shows and music I was eager to know more about Korea and seriously it was a sweet experience for me to listening to k-pop music.
And Korean food are very delicious meal just mere looking at it in the TV they look so aroma and attention calling like you will just want and love to it.
Anytime am watching Korean movies like that and it turns to their restaurant scene or a family eating together I use to pause and play to explore properly how the food look like and I make sure I got the name of the particular meal, i have been able to know dishes like kimchi, bibimbap, and bulgogi.
My passion for more about Korea took me to more explorement to go into the history of what Korean really is, the journey of how they became such a modern nation is history to know. It showed me that behind their K-pop and K-dramas lies a country built on values, trust and respect for one another.
Korea, to me, is of that proof that stories, said or told in songs, dramas, or history, can connect people across the world.
