They're freaking out an entire population of our country. That is just wrong. I think it's important to say, too, that we can't take these midterms lightly.
I know everyone thinks, oh, well, the Democrats are doing this and that, and we should be good. I don't even think we should entertain that idea, to be honest, because don't underestimate how they just get behind outrage, fear. That's their only tool.
They don't have solutions. It isn't an effective tool that they've used. People are Trump deranged, like we've been saying in this space.
They trick their people. They lie to their people. Democrats are not smart people with critical thinking skills.
If they were, they wouldn't be Democrats. So just remember, they fall and they are gullible for all of the nonsense that they are told, and they don't question it. The problem, though, is that it's like a magician that has done the trick too many times, and everybody knows it, so it's just kind of pathetic.
I don't think they can do that again. I don't think they'll try, but I've never seen a party, never seen a party so bereft of ideas. Republicans like to say that politics is downstream from culture.
Remember, what the left has been trying to do for the past six, eight years is reverse the order of those things. That's called indoctrination, and what is that? Authoritarianism. When Christopher Hitchens came to America, he even lectured his own friends on the left.
He said, nobody likes to be told what to do. You'll have to choose between authoritarianism and liberalism sometime. And they chose liberalism.
I mean, they chose authoritarianism. It was right out of Orwell's 1984 where he said, when they finally stopped giving an homage to liberalism, that's when they gained complete authoritarian dystopian control. But they failed.
They failed. And all of this, remember, Hillary Clinton wrote her thesis on rules for radicals by Saul Alinsky. That's been their playbook, and they can't use that anymore.
So I don't know what their strategy is. I think that if the Republicans are going to win the midterms, it's just going to be about them doing what they did last time, which is getting their friends to go with them to the polls. But I've never seen a party so completely out of ideas.
