Now, why do we even doodle? Well, some people doodle when they are on a phone call, some when they’re bored and some when they are in a relaxed state of mind. But doodles can tell a lot about our state of mind at a time and can provide clues about our personalities, flaws and even motivations.

For example:

  • drawing a shape repeatedly over the same contour can mean that you tend to overwork yourself
  • Perfectionist: if you keep it all balanced and of course with perfect lines and shapes, while filling the whole empty space.
  • Easygoing: if you usually tend to draw round patterns and objects
  • Bossy and well organized: if you’re the type of doodler that draws square-like shapes
  • Ambitious and competitive (and on the stubborn side) : if you tend to doodle sharp pointed shapes

This are only just a few examples, but it’s not only the most commonly shapes that you draw, that indicate clues but it’s the size as well.
For example if you draw large sized doodles it can mean that you like to be the center of attention, whereas drawing small, can indicate that you are more secretive, shy or more on the introvert side.

After size, we have colour as indicator:
Black indicates that the person’s motivated by a clear objective
Blue usually indicates that you’re studious and focused
Bright colors that you’re energetic and cheerful

Now I want to show you my doodles. I personally only doodles as a form of meditation. And what I have noticed that I like to fill my spaces most of time, draw small objects usually, I’m a bit rushed, sloppy and chaotic. To be honest it feels just like me.
Here are a few of my favorites.

I wanted to have them on different colours so I first painted them: img_20211201_131548.jpg

When you have a few done, just stop a bit, take a look at them and give them a title. Just to push your creativity and mind even further.
