Hace un par de semanas, veía en redes sociales las opiniones de los fanáticos madridistas de España sobre el performance de Mbappe con el conjunto blanco. Muchos parecían desilusionados y entre las palabras que resaltaban se decía: no da miedo..., no termina de carburar..., los hemos fichado muy tarde y ya no es el mismo...
Lo cierto es que hasta yo me he capturado dando una opinión sobre el muchacho, condenándolo por su mal juego. Sin embargo, ¿Puede el delantero francés mejorar su rendimiento?
Siendo realista, todavía tiene el beneficio de la duda, pues apenas lleva poco más de dos meses en el Real Madrid, luego de haber estado en una liga por varios años en un equipo que, por demás, la dominaba a placer y con gran facilidad. Por tanto, su proceso de adaptación aún no acaba, por demás, en una liga que le exige más, en un equipo donde la afición, aunque no quieras, te exige sin compasión.
A couple of weeks ago, I was watching on social networks the opinions of Madrid fans in Spain about Mbappe's performance with the Spanish club. Many seemed disappointed and among the words that stood out were: he's not scary..., he's not working out..., we signed him too late and he's not the same....
The truth is that even I have caught myself giving an opinion on the boy, condemning him for his poor play. However, can the French striker improve his performance?
Realistically, he still has the benefit of the doubt, as he has only been at Real Madrid for just over two months, after having been in a league for several years in a team that otherwise dominated it at will and with great ease. Therefore, his adaptation process is not over yet, especially in a league that demands more from him, in a team where the fans, even if you don't want them to, demand you without mercy.
No obstante, puedo vislumbrar que ese proceso cada día se acorta. El gol marcado durante el sábado pasado pudiese ser evidencia de eso. Hey, solo es un gol, pero fue un golazo de esos que te dan confianza en la mente y el corazón, y te ayudan a salir del slump y la mala racha. He notado que nunca ha dejado de intentarlo, pero la puntería por alguna u otra razón siempre le ha jugado en contra.
Claro está que tampoco es una garantía de que haya explotado al fin, pero sabiendo la calidad del francés, y de que ha demostrado en otras ocasiones que puede aparecer de sorpresa(en la final de la Copa Mundial versus Argentina por ejemplo) aun en condiciones adversas, es muy probable que su momento haya llegado.
De confirmarse este hecho, sería de gran ayuda para Ancelotti, pues el ataque madridista será de miedo para los rivales. La velocidad y el desequilibrio de Vinicius y su faceta de asistidor, se va a notar mucho más si el espíritu de "goleador que no perdona" se apodera de Mbappe. Nada, que los partidos serán más entretenidos, y el clásico del próximo fin de semana se viene caliente.
