It's here, summer is here, I can smell it, feel it, see it.
Late arrival, which means this season will last longer than expected, and it's not the first time that surprise factor comes yearly as soon as we open a new calendar.
Definitely a bit annoying, because of the unpredictability, I guess, what to wear, what to eat, when to go out, so many questions about a simple summer.
We like to stroll around, but we despise sweating and sneaky sunburns, dragging semi heavy camera with is another big no-no when scale hits over 30 degrees.
On the other side, across from the shade where we hid, the sun is not a big problem for some. Summer works on the renovation of the docks have begun, we enjoyed the most common 'one worker and few supervisors' scene, if you aren't familiar that's when one person usually do all the job and rest are there to make a crowd so it looks like team work - another photographic illusion.
How many times did you make conclusions based on photos?
Spinning wheel, would be good if this one was a fortune wheel, I would definitely give it a try, but as it's not, this one has it own purpose - supplies the water with oxygen and also cuts unnecessary underwater weeds, fun thing I recently learned about.
Do you prefer long exposure or your shutter is highly up when it comes about water? I've tried some time ago to play around with long.exp, but results wasn't too satisfying (I haven't got that milky silky photo), thanks to my impatience - never gave it another shot.
Even tho this reflection would look awesome using mentioned technique, perhaps another time? In this moment I was just enjoying tall shrubbery swaying from side to side, waiting for some duck or heron to pry its head out of it and fly away.
Back to the summer topic, mornings are fine, mid of the day is no-no as I said, but what about evening?
Evenings should be wonderful, kind of romantic, perfect for long walks if...oh just if there are no mosquitos.
But they exist, they are inevitable as soon as the first dusk begins, they tirelessly sting and drink our blood. This plane should be their death sentence this season, this plane is literally our ticket to long evening walks without painful harassment.
I almost failed to record this moment, just as I sat down to take a break from watering the garden, he appeared.
One lap, another lap, on the third I was about to get up, run for the camera and catch him in action.
You don't get a chance to see an airplane, even one of this size (a small one) nearby every day, it would be a shame if I stayed lazy.
@monochromes, this is my entry for the #monomad challenge, thank you all for your time and interest in what I do.
