chainBB has a significant bug causing 'submitting to blockchain' to last forever.
Of course, reloading the page and trying again works for posting or commenting, but the real terror is having made a large response to something, or writing a large post, then during submission it hangs. The reason it's an issue is the submitting to blockchain graphic overlays the text making it unselectable, so when you realize the problem it's already too late to save your post and you'll have to start over.
possible solutions:
-automagically copy the post to clipboard (title and tags are easily remade)
-allow people to close the submission graphic after a timeout period
-automagically save as draft every so often
I think one of these could save people from the metaphorical lightning strike when this thing hits on a big post. For now, I just make a habit of copying my post to the clipboard before any submissions, and it saved me a couple times.
Anyway, the solutions are just some ideas for a bandaid incase the bug itself is a nightmare to fix _
