From Little Blue Flowers to Little Green Men...
My observations for this weeks #wednesdaywalk by 
It was difficult to identify the true variety of Callistemon that this flower belongs to as there are about 50 different species, ranging from trees, bushes, right down to dwarf varieties.
However, my best guess of 'Splendens' is based on the size of the bush from where this stunning flower grew; it was only 'about 2 metres high' and was 'compact and rounded' in shape... exactly as it is described on Wikipedia.
The bush was found in a well-maintained garden belonging to an Aged Care facility, located nearby and I will most certainly be keeping an eye on the bush and the garden, for further photo opportunities.
The colour of these flowers really caught my eye.
Since the weather is so dry in Australia, the scenery often lacks any vibrant colour, especially as you move further and further away from the coast.
The track that I followed on today's walk was very dry and dusty with lots of olive green so when I saw this flower, of course, I had to include it to the post... little did I know, that there was a tiny surprise, just waiting for me to zoom in.
This funny guy made me smile and so, I just had to include him too.
The last photo from my #wednesdaywalk is some new graffiti that has been sprayed on the rear garden wall of the previously mentioned nursing home.
Despite being very close to a legal graffiti wall, it's not close enough and so I expect that it will be removed at some time in the future.
Anyhoo, at least the art was well done and neat, in a way that added something to the drab, bessa block wall - although I do hope that the culprit artist was respectful of, or at least out-of-earshot from the residents of the home.
