I completed a grueling delivery to the former Geophysical Research Lab, carrying a heavy cargo load. Along the way, I gathered chiral crystals. After connecting the facility to the network, Sam met Alex Weatherstone, gained upgraded anti-BT weapons, and finally retreated to a private room to rest.
I decided not to place the blood grenades back in my pouch since I felt completely ready to face any BTs in the area. Though, I was surprised not to find more BTs, as I had initially thought there would be a large presence of them.
During the journey, I managed to collect another cargo container. It looked like that was all I needed to carry to the research lab.
Now that the BTs of the area were taken care of and I had the cargo secured, I prepared to head back to the Timefall shelter where I had left my other supplies, knowing I might need those rifles later.
Eventually, I turned my focus toward reaching the research lab, picking up any chiral crystals I could find on the path.
The way Sam was moving while carrying the cargo made it clear the load was too heavy to carry comfortably all at once, but I had nothing else to do.
As I walked toward the research lab, a cool song titled Dancing Ghosts by Patrick Watson played in the background, courtesy of Gondwana Records. The song felt good, though I could not quite understand what the singer was saying, as I was not focused in it.
I found myself wishing for a fast pair of boots or a vehicle because Sam was taking a good amount of time to carry the heavy cargo. Sometimes I felt bad for him, knowing he had to bear those heavy loads on his back.
The sun reflection in the game looked beautiful, and indeed, every detail in the graphics felt impressive. It appeared as though the sun was going to set soon, but I did not worry since I was close to the research lab, where no BTs should be around.
My footwear was almost ruined from the demands of this big delivery job, so I resolved to change it right after getting up the cliff.
At last, I reached the former Geophysical Research Lab, a place where I should be safe. As planned, I decided to put on a new pair of boots, choosing the boots I had available.
I then headed to the terminal of the research lab. Once there, I noticed the facility included a private room as well. I decided to complete the delivery first so I could later have a chance to rest.
With the delivery job done, Sam placed the items on the rack, and someone came to speak with him. The person sounded as though he recognized Sam, though Sam did not recognize him initially.
Sam linked them up to the network using the Q-pid. By doing this, I fulfilled my objective of bringing the entirety of Mexico into the chiral network.
Sam placed the Q-pid on the terminal, and the system began its process. The animation and camera angles for this sequence felt different compared to others.
With the new strand established, Alex Weatherstone said he used to work at the order station back in the UCA as a Bridges employee reporting directly to Die-Hardman. That was how he knew Sam.
Finally, Sam went down to the private room to get some much-needed rest, even taking a bath without my command because he desperately needed it, which successfully healed his sunburn.
