Refusing the job caused the initial sequence to repeat until I finally accepted the order. After ensuring Fragile would watch over Lou, Sam geared up and departed the base. Fragile provided a thumb device and a new Q-pid model before Sam stepped outside into a heavy, BT-threatened downpour.
As I refused to accept the job last time, the same scene started to repeat over. Sam was seen cooking and then kissing the kid, forcing me to watch the exact same domestic moments play out all over again because of my previous hesitation to move forward.
But hey, something changed on that wall portrait, as I could see, the image at the very center was totally changed from feeding Lou to decision-making, along with Fragile. The subtle shifting of the frame design indicated a clear progression in the narrative timeline despite the looping sequence.
Yeah, I just knew if I say I won't do it, I'll just get to see the scene again. So I accepted the order, clicking through the prompt to officially take on the responsibility and break the endless cycle. At least I tried the odds to see what happens.
But Sam was worried about Lou, as the kid is not used to live without him around. Fragile said she'd be okay to take care of the baby while Sam will be out, reassuring him that the child would remain completely safe under her direct supervision within the secured facility.
Knowing Fragile would take care of Lou, Sam seemed okay for the job, and he was drinking a beer in some conversation while Lou was just playing around.
It was, I don't know when, maybe the next morning or maybe the next minute, when Sam opened the hatch of the homebase and was going out, taking his gears.
Fragile came over to say goodbye to Sam, taking Lou along, and she gave Sam a device to slide on his thumb, which shall be able to use on the journey.
After telling Sam about all about the Ring terminal, she gave him the latest model of Q-pid as they decided to put a hold on network expansion until it was ready to go. And I just knew what to do with it, understanding its critical function for the path ahead.
When Sam was done learning everything from Fragile, suddenly this baby Cryptobiote started floating around, which Fragile caught and asked Sam if he wanted to eat it, but after Sam rejected it, Lou snatched it and ate it right away, swallowing the small creature down in one quick gulp.
This moment says no more baby food for Lou, lol.
Before leaving the kid for I don't know how many days or months, Sam asked her not to give Fragile any trouble while he is gone. And after kissing on her forehead, the ladies went inside.
And now that I am alone outside, I could see the fake BT's floating around. And suddenly, it started raining heavily once again, which gave me a creepy feel for real, as I don't have a Bridge Baby with me, and there could be BT's on my way ahead.
Which shot was your favorite from today's set? Let me know in the comments. Until the next frame drops, keep exploring. Alpha Gamer, out.
