Fragile recounted the shelter attack through a painful flashback, revealing how she attempted to flee on her bike with Lou. After being ambushed and shot, she tried saving the child, only to find Lou dead. Back in the present, Sam noticed strange footprints and held the pod, weeping over the loss.
Fragile began explaining what had happened, sharing the tragic events through a clear flashback. They had been happily enjoying their time inside the shelter when Fragile was putting Lou to bed.
Suddenly, an intrusion was detected, triggering a level five alert that warned of multiple armed hostiles inbound toward their location.
Deciding to escape the shelter immediately, Fragile took Lou along, but she noticed that the main entrance was not safe.
She used the cargo elevator instead to reach the upper level before the hostiles could find them, but it was not a great distance from the inner shelter.
She went for her one wheeler still and made it out of the shelter area right away, taking Lou along, in trying to get as far away as possible.
As she sped across the terrain, someone opened fire from behind, and Fragile was shot. She crashed off her bike, tumbling to the ground while holding Lou tightly.
Fragile tried her absolute best to save the child, attempting to jump them out of danger. However, she could not take Lou along with her abilities, so she returned, realizing she could only transport her own body and equipment.
There was no way for both of them to escape together as the enemies drew closer, leaving her to jump Lou out of the area alone to keep the child safe before being attacked herself.
Fragile insisted that no one had abducted the child, as she had launched Lou to safety and became the sole victim of the assault. The flashback then shifted to another area where Fragile saw Lou crying, prompting her to crawl forward frantically to reach the child.
When she was finally about to reach Lou, she discovered the child was dead, a tragic sight that utterly shattered her before she drifted into unconsciousness. To be honest, this scene broke my heart as well.
Fragile admitted that this was all she could remember, expressing deep sorrow for failing to protect Lou.
It appeared that something strange was still happening around the shelter grounds. Sam noticed small, dark footprints resembling a child's BT marks, leading me to think that Lou's spirit had somehow returned.
Inside the shelter, activity began stirring within the BB pod, as if Lou was returning inside the container. Sam picked up the pod, holding it close while calling out Lou's name.
It was an incredibly heartbreaking moment, and I felt like crying alongside him. Sam asked the child inside the pod if she could hear or see him, coming to the painful realization that she could not because she was gone.
Sam wept openly, and I'm saying it again, to be honest, I felt like crying too because it was a truly devastating moment.
