I'm aiming to post one of these each Sunday, although Easter has made me a little late with this one. They aren't a replacement for the excellent daily prompts from

The prompt this week is - "A Day At The Races"
Racing seems to be something all human societies have done. How is it in your setting ? Is there an arena for chariot racing ? Is there a track that horses, elephants, camels or cars career around ? Are there hoops in the sky or in space for one-man racing flyers ? And is racing a solo endeavour, or are there organised teams with their own insignia, colours and rivalries ? How are the animals or machines chosen, trained and ranked ? Is the inevitable gambling regulated, state controlled or underground ? Tell me a tale of racing in your world !
