Hey there, folks. This is my first time participating in the Alien Art Hive's Cosmic Creation contest and I'm so excited to be sharing my... uhhh creation with y'all today.
This Edition's theme was Nature, so I tried going with something bizarre and strange that stems from nature, yet I wasn't sure what kind of creature to make as the base (a bird that was from the skies, a fish from deep seas or a to-be-discovered creature from the land). That's why I decided to go with ALL OF THEM!!
Mixing and matching traits from different animals and fish to make a unique creature that I thought would fit the characteristics of a "Cosmic Creation".
The part I took from the land is quite obvious in her due to her humanoid form. Even though her hands are made of fins, her limbs and head alone make her look like she's some sort of human.
The fins on her hands and tail, her jellyfish hat and the scales on her bottom are the bits I inspired from the sea, and I feel like she looks like some sort of mermaid with all those features sitting on a humanoid body - it makes her look less hostile IMO.
And the fraction I borrowed from the skies was her butterfly-ish wings. This part was smaller compared to her other traits, but I think it should've been included to give her a taste of "flying creatures", too - even though they might be also considered land creatures.
And this is how my Cosmic Creation looks. What do you think about it? Do you think she's scary with those void eyes or is she sorta alluring like a Siren with those butterfly wings of hers? Let me know in the comments. I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts on this. Hope you enjoyed this post.
Cheers~
