Today in Yverdon-les-Bain also knows for his hot spring which combines the therapeutic properties of sulphur water with modern accommodation. With its sulphur and magnesium springs, Yverdon city has a long tradition as a thermal spa and therapeutic center, a fact borne out by the ruins of the Roman thermal baths. Archaeological remains of prehistoric standing stones and medieval castles and fortresses are further evidence of the town's about 6,000 year history.

The castle in center of Yverdon-les-Bains city, built in the 13th century by Peter, Count of Savoy, is not far from the main station.
