Hallwil Castle is one of the most beautiful and romantic water castles in Switzerland, located at the outflow of the Hallwilersee in the Aargauer Seetal. It was built in the 12th century and was owned by the von Hallwil family until the 20th century.
Lake Hallwil is situated along two cantons, Aargau and Lucerne, in about five hours is possible to walk around the lake.
From Hallwil Castle it is only a step into the unique nature reserve on Lake Hallwil.
Thanks to the protection zones, the banks have remained undeveloped and offer an ideal local recreation area with the intact flora and fauna.
The shore of the Lake Hallwil may not be built-up, so the shore hiking trail around presents an amazing natural landscape. A relaxing route along the beautiful, largely undeveloped shores.
with many fascinating highlights, like here a pile dwelling house 1989.
On the Hallwilersee, scheduled boats sail from one bank to the other. A boat trip on the Hallwilersee would also be an experience! Unfortunately the ships have only season from April to October, this photo has been taken in April.
Have a great Day!
