The Intercontinental hotel was built between 1968 - 1970 according the plans of architects Dinu Hariton, Gheorghe Nădrag and I. Moscu,is the only hotel in Bucharest that has a conference hall and a health center with a swimming pool over 70 meters high.
The 5-star hotel offers a great view over the center of Bucharest, located on University Square, next to the National Theater and close to the Old Town, excelent as a business travel hotel but also well suited as a turist hotel
As we were informed starting from January 1, 2022, the Intercontinental Hotel will be called Grand Hotel Bucharest and will follow an extensive renovation and modernization project after an estimated investment of about 21 million Euros. It was 2019 the most awarded hotel at the International Hospitality Accolades. At the World Travel Awards, the Oscars of the tourism industry, was named one of the Romania's leading hotel.
Here from the 18 floor at the heart of Bucharest , a fantastic architecture, on the balcony with a beautiful view over the city right of the Parliament house and left of the theater building, inside an integrated luxurious SPA. The staff is very friendly, helpful and pleasant.
