An unique city with a romantic touch. The Grand Canal is the main traffic route of the lagoon city and the gondolas are part of Venice. The construction process for a gondola takes a few months and is a great artwork at the end . When you walk in the labyrinthine alleys under the bridges you get a feeling of disorientation and lostness which soon changes because the way is everywhere indicated with yellow signs or the locals are very friendly and always happy to help.
Nice to see that in the canals again enough water flows, if from Venice in the matter of water level is usually reported about high water but in February this year was exactly the opposite: Venice had extreme low water. The canals into the city lagoon were completely dry and where there's no water, there are no pathways for the local people. The many islands are connected by 400 bridges and about 150 canals which serve as roads. Cars, scooters and bicycles are not allowed in the lagoon city. verything runs here on boats
Have a beautiful sublime Day!
