The official memorial of the Berlin Wall at Bernauer Straße.Featuring an open-air exhibition and Documentation Center which extends to 1.4 km length on the former border strip. The Berlin Wall Memorial (Gedenkstätte Berliner Mauer) uses the area to explain the historical and political situation at the time. On the grounds of the memorial is a piece of the Berlin Wall, behind it you will get a look at the death strip. The monument was created in 1998 by the Federal Republic of Germany and the Federal State of Berlin.
