Acrylic on canvas 3 foot by 5 foot Private commission
This painting took over 7 months to finish not because it took that long to put down all of the brush strokes, because it took me that long to figure out how to paint fur and it look correct. This was one of my biggest commissions at 5 feet wide. Making the painting of the doggies many times bigger than the actual dogs :) This is indeed a challenge. I remember painting the background a few times... The setting was on a red velvet background but it kept making the dogs fade into the sea of red. When I changed the background to blue they pop and I am happy.
