Ok, so, I have been on this "handyman hustle for a month now. Yesterday, it really hit me.
We are doing a basement development from top to bottom. Yesterday we stopped by there to prime the floor for levelling compound. We then went to check if there was lumber for the garage that we are framing, and from there, we went to remove an old countertop and install a new one. We had to treat some mould, which we were not prepared for, so we went to t he hardware store... On route was a fence that we were supposed to take a look at. So, we looked at the fence, got the stuff to treat the mould and returned to finish the countertop![564530021.jpg]

After that was complete, we returned to the basement where we put in levelling compound.
Later that night, I wrote up a quote for the fence and a letter of recommendation. The builder is in court as he damaged a fence in the building process. He is now being sued for $50,000 for damages to the fence. The fence is rotting and fit for demolition! Wow...
My point is this... We are now juggling work, trying to throw in as many jobs as possible. We are getting creative on how to accomplish this, but it is intense. Today will be no different. In order to keep busy, we NEED to have this many jobs on the go, as many jobs required drying time or waiting for other trades.
This is certainly not a complaint. I am thrilled to be this busy and to be fully in charge of my own employment. I had a conversation with a colleague yesterday who is having trouble. He is still framing and stands to lose his business. He is looking for other options, inspired by my move out of framing. He has been struggling a long time... but this is the first time I heard him contemplate moving on from framing. I hope he does and feels the success looming that I feel.
