I apologize for taking the weekend off. I have been very very busy and just couldn't find the time or the energy to write. It was also winter at the end of summer, which didn't help my motivation. That is all behind me now and I have another reason why Steem is the Best! So, let's get into it!

The blockchain is in good hands... yours!
We run this blockchain. We have a say in who runs this blockchain. We can vote people off of the island. We can congratulate people for a job well done.
Today, the blockchain stopped. I was not around when it happened, but, I don't live under a rock and have been brought up to speed. There are many talented tech'ys that keep this blockchain running smoothly (for the most part). The witnesses that do the hard work to keep this ship sailing are the ones that should have our vote. So, be on the lookout for the witnesses that are putting the work in to keep this blockchain running.
The blockchain is in our hands, and we get to select who is in control of maintaining it. You can take part in that directly and become a witness for steem. You can vote for the witnesses you see putting in the work, and you can bring awareness to the whole operation. The blockchain is up and running because we have a bunch of great people keeping it going. It is in our hands, and that is a good place for it to be.
We don't have that type of responsibility as a BTC hodler or a (insert crypto here). Steem is original in that way. The social network is built into the chain. We have no choice but to actively interact on the blockchain. We are driving it forward. US! That is amazing.
