Sorry, I missed yesterday. I worked a 13 or 14 hour day and I just didn't have it in me to blog. Or, you are welcome for me giving you a day off from my blogging.
Everyday, I try really hard to make it everyday, I try to bring some positivity to the blockchain. In this long bear market it can be tough to keep positive about holding onto steem. I think you are in a good place here and I got lots of reasons why. And the reasons just keep coming. So, let's get into it!
Reason # 27:
You are among the cutting edge.
Steem is still very young. I believe it is just over 2 years old. I have been on here for over a year and the people that have been here longer are really, really lucky to have had the opportunity to take a really large cut of the rewards pool. There are people that started really early on steem that have 'mined' (aka blogged and collected rewards) worth many thousands of dollars. If you look among some of the early adopters, there are hundred thousand dollar steem accounts.
Even little old me, who have been blogging on the semi regular on steem, have 'mined' over 500 steem. I know what you are thinking... well la ti da... 500 steem. That is not even 500 dollars.
The people that were here a year before me had the advantage of collecting far more rewards and as such, now have huge accounts. I could be seen like that in a few years. Think about it. Steem keeps moving forward on its projects, steemmonsters gets huge, Dtube, dsound etc... all get huge. Steem ends up with 250 million users. Each user is now only spilling fractions of steem each reward but the rewards are still in the $ range because demand for the token is larger. The 500 steem that I have 'mined' could be worth $50,000.
I don't want to speculate too much on this, I am more just saying that the people that were here since day 1 saw it happen to them. I saw it happen to me as well. There was a time when my account was worth $4000 due to the price of steem hitting $7.
Right now, we are still very young on this blockchain. You are here, which means you are among the cutting edge. If steem keeps moving forward and meets its potential in a few years, you could see some pretty decent gains, and for what... hanging out with cool people talking about cool stuff. Sounds good to me!
