Hello splinter-cells! I hope you are doing well.

Todays’s main subject of attraction, the snipe only battle. Trust me when I say that I was backed into a corner when selection the summoners for it.
Below are the battle conditions, details, major events and at the end of the post is the gameplay.
The mana cap was 38. There were 4 summoners to choose from: Water, Nature, Life, and Dragon. I went with the only one that would give me an edge over the opponent attack-wise, General Sloan.
The rules for the battle:
- What Doesn’t Kill You: All monsters have the enrage ability.
- Going The Distance: All monsters with the ranged attack may be used in battle.
My Team
Tank: Mantoid(Ability: Snipe).
Primary Ranged Attacker: Supply Runner(No Ability).
Ranged Attackers: Portal Spinner(Ability: Scattershot), Venari Crystalsmith(Ability: Tank Heal), Pelacor Arbalest(Ability: Double strike), Zyriel(Ability: Weapon Training, Life Leech).
My strategy was to let my Crystalsmith enter the tank position also later into the battle as possible. Hence, I kept monster with shield and HP in the forefront of the deck while keeping my expensive leech in the back, along with my double-strike beast. What I realised later was that I could’ve kept the Pelacor Arbalest in the dead last, that way I could ensure a last minute double strike while Zyriel(who would suck in the HP of the opponents and behave like a tank) withstand the attacks.
Opponent’s Team
Summoner: Keyla Frendul(Ability: Additional speed and shield for all friendly monsters).
Tank: Xenith Archer(No Ability).
Primary Ranged Attacker: Kulu Swimhunter(No Ability).
Ranged Attacker: Gargoya Devil(Ability: Flying, Close Range), Supply Runner(No Ability), Angelic Mandarin(No Ability), Goblin Chariot(No Ability).
His strategy was not that good. He could’ve used monsters that could heal the tank, or have Leech ability as those 2 must’ve been common cards that none would have to buy. Moreover, the only monster he picked, that had a close combat ability had less HP than the average monster.
Hence, attack wise, strategy wise, and monster wise I had already won without needing to see the outcome of the battle.
Round 1
The summoner abilities were implemented and the battle was on. In the 4th turn, my tank fell. Mainly because of the additional speed that Keyla had instilled in his monsters.
5 turns later, my Leech eliminates the one of their monsters. And we get a 4 v 4 standoff, not a 5 v 5 as the first monsters in each side is potentially useless.
And finally, in the end my double-striking beast fells the squid monster putting us a 5 v 4 advantage.
Round 2
The start of the round came from the Gargoya, it didn’t hesitate to attack.
Zeriel missed his mark and then it was up to Arbalest to take it down, he didn’t disappoint. This was exactly why I wished I had kept Zyriel ahead of Arbalest.
Gargoya was out in the first strike, the next one took out the shield of Supply Runner while my Portal Spinner was hanging on to his 2 HP.
Round 3
His Goblin attacks first and my Portal Spinner kicks the bucket. Then, the Crystalsmith stepped up. He got hit once by the Mandarin, this triggered the enrage ability. Thanks to that, Zyriel’s attack connected and it does a damage of 4 and sucked in 2 HP.
Arbalest took out the Supply runner but he missed his attack on the Mandarin. But, this turned the battle into a 3 v 1 since my Crystalsmith could heal itself while his damage could never break through the Crystalsmith.
Round 4
Goblin chariot strikes first. His attack connected but essentially it was of no use.
Zyriel went second, his attack connected and got a boost of 2 HP.
Arbalest’s attack also connected and eliminated the poor Mandarin.
Round 5
Crystalsmith healed itself and in-turn lost its enrage ability.
Zyriel missed her mark but Arbalest got the job done.
And that how easily, with a little strategy I had won the game. Had they allowed the use of Death summoner, I could’ve shown my true potential
I hope you guys have enjoyed the gameplay. See you legends in the next one!
