I always feel bad, when I accidentally kill one of this creatures. They are, like, hundreds of them in my house, mostly in dark places. Stubborn people call them ''Tarantulas'' here, in Croatia, but they have a completely different name. They are called ''Macaklin'', it's a type of a gecko and this was a really young one. They are a real blessing if you ask me because they eat mosquitos, flyes, and some other bugs. But every now and then I accidentally step on one, or they try to hide between the doors and get squashed. It is one of those things in life you can't avoid. Fun fact is about them every part of Dalmatia has its own authentic species of geckos. It is hard to tell from this picture but these inhabiting the region where I live are yellow. And now I have to throw him in the trash before my girls see it. You can guess the reaction of animal loving kids. Bye bye little friend you are going to better places.
