The Clever Fool is an individual of high talent and skill who uses his gift and God-given ability to harm others -while risking their freedom in the process. A simple example of this is thieves or black-hat hackers -but there are others "professions" as well.
He knows his talent and that makes him clever, but he can't see his potential and that's what makes him a fool. He has talent, but he lacks purpose. This goes to show that on a scale of conscientiousness, purpose and meaning sit well above talent and skill.
If you have ability but lack purpose you're chaotic at best, but if you have a purpose you can always develop the right skills to achieve it.
The Clever Fool is also inflexible, failing to see that his skills could be repurposed for good; they never consider investing in themselves so they can give but prefer to be takers; Literally.
Usually, they're fools by accident, victims of the environments they grew up in; which again goes to show that skill and talent can be learned or acquired a lot faster than meaning and purpose could be discovered.
Skill is acquired in a social setting(we learn them from others), while purpose is discovered in solitude(by finding it in ourselves).
But nature runs its course and usually things develop in the same direction following the same patterns over time. Some of them wake up towards the end of their careers -usually after getting caught, and decide to switch sides.
The Better Fool wakes up before the "alarm", and decides to switch sides not because they have to, but because it's right.
