We see many people around us in our daily lives who develop mental issues, but due to a lack of awareness, they reach a stage where they become victims of various psychological problems by the time they reach a doctor. They become physically weak to such an extent that they either harm themselves or others.
Today, we'll talk about depression. Depression is basically a mental illness in which a person experiences sadness, hopelessness, low self esteem, reduced sleep, loss of appetite, and a lack of interest in socializing. They may become withdrawn quiet or experience bouts of crying.
It's a common issue that can affect anyone young or old. People lose interest in doing things and don't feel like talking to others. Depression is treatable. If you think you're experiencing depression consult a doctor. Spending time with friends and family can also help you overcome it. Don't ignore depression it's an illness that can be treated.
To overcome depression we need to make some changes in ourselves. We should exercise daily and cultivate positive thoughts.
If depression is left untreated it can lead to severe consequences, as it's a condition where a person descends into sadness hopelessness and despair. At an advanced stage they may lose the will to live and often resort to suicidal thoughts.
