Christ gives us no reason to think that perfecting character is an easy matter. Grateful and widely educated character is not inherited. Nor can it be a matter of chance. The noble character is acquired by personal efforts through the merits and grace of Christ.

God gives us abilities, mental powers, but we form character. It is created through a stubborn struggle with oneself. With its natural inclinations, a continual fight must be waged. We must examine ourselves carefully, without allowing any unpleasant lines to remain uncorrected.

Let no one say, "I can't fix my character's flaws." If you come to such a decision, then you cannot attain eternal life.

The barrier is your own will. Without desire you cannot win. All difficulties come from a vicious, uninitiated heart and unwillingness to submit to the will of God.

Many whom God has determined to do a great work have little success because they make little effort. Thousands live life without a specific purpose. Such awaits retribution according to their acts.

Remember that you cannot achieve a higher goal than the one you set. Then set yourself a high goal and gradually, step by step, sacrificing yourself and overcoming great difficulties, you will reach the highest rung of the ladder of Christian progress.

Don't be shy about difficulties. Fate does not bind a person so tightly that he is forced to remain defenseless. Hostile circumstances give rise to a firm decision to overcome them.

Overcoming an obstacle multiplies the ability and courage to advance. Move persistently down the right path, and then circumstances will not be an obstacle for you, but a help.

Strive for the glory of the Lord to develop in you all the valuable qualities of character. When you work on your character, you must please God.

Do not sadden the one who loved you so much that he gave his life for you to erase your sins.

He says, "Without me you can do nothing."

We must remember these words, if you have a mistake, do not be discouraged. If you know how to notice them and see a warning on them, then you are on the road to victory. In this way, you will turn defeat into victory, disappoint the enemy, and glorify your Redeemer.

The character formed in the likeness of God is the only treasure that we can take with us to the next world. Those who learn of Christ in this world will enter heavenly dwellings enriched by his priceless gifts. In heaven, our cultivation will continue. How important it is, therefore, to educate your character in this life.

Heavenly forces cooperate with a person who, with firm faith, strives to achieve perfection of character in practical matters. To all who are busy with this work, Christ says, "I am at your right hand to help you."

When the human will cooperates with the will of God, it becomes omnipotent. Everything that corresponds to the will of God, the command of God, can be fulfilled with the power of his power.

If we see our own weaknesses and look firmly at Jesus, we will be on the safe path.
