It's been 30 years since the people in East Germany raised themselves against the worst plague of the 20th century. I'm talking about communism here. It has brought most of the suffering in the 20th century over humanity and sadly, we see its rebirth today.
Yes, there was an uprising in other countries, too, but I'm talking about today, or rather 30 years ago today. It was protesting against a regime that kept the people in fear.
Luckily, it can be said that it was a peaceful uprising and not bloody as in other countries.
You see after 30 years it has been picked up back a lot compared to the West, but not the whole. Both sides in Germany had the same restart in 1946, both were on the ground and both had to be rebuilt. 1989 East Germany was still on the ground. That's communism. It never builds anything except fear and misery.
What can I say, I do not want to go deep into politics, but I can not understand this thing, why people always try to do something that has never worked? But enough with the whine. One thing I can say, thanks Leipzig and thanks to the people who have prevailed against the regime.

es sind 30 Jahre her seit dem man sich gegen der schlimmsten Pest des 20 Jahrhundert in Deutschland erhoben hat. Ich spreche hier von Kommunismus. Es hat das meiste Leiden im 20 Jahrhunder über die Menschheit gebracht und wir sehen heute seine Wiedergeburt.
Ja, es gab auch in anderen Länder ein Aufstand, aber ich spreche von heute oder besser gesagt von heute vor 30 Jahren. Man hat gegen ein Regime protestiert welches die Leute in Furcht gehalten hat.
Zum Glück, kann man sagen, es war ein friedliches Aufstand und nicht blutig wie in anderen Länder.
Man sieht nach 30 Jahre dass man viel aufegholt hat, aber nicht das ganze. Beide Seiten in Deutschland hatten den selben Neustart in 1946, beide waren am Boden und beide mussten neu aufgebaut werden. 1989 Ost-Deutschland war immer noch am Boden. Das ist Kommunismus. Es baut nie was auf, ausser Furcht und Elend.
Was kann ich sagen, möchte nicht tief in die Politik gehen, aber eine Sache kann ich nicht verstehen, warum versucht man immer von neu an etwas was nie funktioniert hat zu machen. Aber genug mit dem gejammer. Eins kann ich sagen, danke Leipzig und danke den Leuten die sich gegen das Regime durchgesetzt haben.
