Water is that fundamental element that allows there to be life on earth, therefore we must take care of it, save it or basically, give it an adequate use. She is not infinite!

How to properly use water?

Simple!! Making efficient use of this, both inside and outside the house, in addition to taking advantage of rainwater that is free !!. It is worth mentioning that implementing the technologies that we will see below, will make our initial investment costly but it is also valid to say that with the passage of time that investment will be amortized.

If we are going to wash dishes or clothes, use two buckets or buckets, one for lathering and one for rinsing, in this way we will not have to rinse things directly with the tap because we do not know how much water we are using.
The showers that they put in the bathrooms, should be such that they help us to save on water consumption. In addition, at the time of bathing we can do other things at the same time, such as brushing or washing our hair.
Like humans, plants need water to survive but all do not need the same amount. What we must do is separate them according to their species or water requirement, in this way we provide the necessary amount to each of them.
To wash the car or the motorcycle, we can use the water we use to rinse the clothes, in this way, we reduce the consumption of drinking water.

The drawing shows a house with two elevated tanks and a pool (there should be two, one to store rainwater and another for drinking water). The potable water network is the traditional one, that is, it comes from the aqueduct network, goes up to the elevated tank and then the water is distributed to the shower, sink, sanitary and to the kitchen. The rainwater network is what will save us water, money and of course help the environment.

The rain water falls to the roof of the house, then through a system of gutters is collected and guided to a filter, this to prevent the entry of leaves, stones and any other element into the pool. From the pool rises to the rainwater tank and from there, the water is distributed to the toilet, to the washing area and to the garden. You may wonder why the toilet again? Because when you have rainwater in the elevated tank, that is the one that should be used and in this way you save money by avoiding drinking water, besides it does not make sense to use clean water to expel wastewater, right?. Drinking water is used in the toilet ONLY when there is no rain water.

By implementing this system you save 40% or 30% of water and that represents a large amount of money per year, in addition to lowering the demand for drinking water to the potable water treatment plant (ptap).
