Let's start with the curiosity. The Indian police can not return to the treasury money from the sale of confiscated 244 bitcoins, because the country's Central Bank blocks all accounts related to cryptocurrencies. And here's what to do: on the one hand, the police fellows, they caught fraudsters and brought money to the treasury. And on the other, well, you can’t conduct banking operations if they are associated with the sale of bitcoins and that’s all. Forbidden and period!

And now we are starting our TOP-3 cryptoscandal of the month and we will give the third line to Donald Trump. As the former head of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission Christopher Giancarlo recently told, the launch of Bitcoin futures on the CME in December 2017 was approved in order to bring down the price. The flight of bitcoin to the moon to $ 20,000 scared officials so much that they saw signs of a new financial crisis, as it was in 2008, and decided to help the bubble burst. Therefore, futures were urgently approved in the hope that bitcoin would be shortened with their help and this bet worked. And after such news, you sit and think, maybe it’s good that they will not approve of the Bitcoin ETF in any way, if the authorities have any other plans.

We will give the second place to the old-new head of the leading manufacturer of Bitmain ASIC miners, Cihan Wu. His love for Bitcoin Cash turned into a multimillion-dollar loss for the company and at the beginning of 2019 he was removed from the post of director and transferred to the post of adviser. After that, the company was going to bet on developments in the field of artificial intelligence. But, apparently, in this field also did not succeed. And the last straw after which Cihan Wu reversed his leadership and became director again was filing an IPO in the USA:

Just going to the stock exchange, the company must publicly report on its achievements, and it turned out that Bitmain did not achieve anything in the new direction, and they launched the old one with the production of miners. So the heart of Jihan Wu could not stand it and in the best traditions of raiding he removed his partner and co-founder Mikri Zhang from the leadership. Including Bitmain employees were sent letters in which they forbade to follow the instructions of Mikri Zhang.

And the best, not even a scandal, but, more correctly, a shame is the story with the OpenLibra project. In general, while Zuckerberg is trying to push through his stablecoin and negotiate with regulators, there was such a Lucas Geiger who suggested making a popular and fair fork of Libra, called it OpenLibra and even announced that the project already supports 30 blockchain companies. We will not explain that the idea itself, let’s say softer, is “wonderful”. Make a stablecoin fork to get the popular Libra and tie its price to Facebook cryptocurrency.

And the main reason for OpenLibra getting into the TOP scandals was the fact that the well-known projects in the community Tendermint, Chainlink, Web3 Foundation and Hashed, as it turned out, have nothing to do with it. And when they announced this, Lucas Geiger simply spread his hands and said that he was preparing a presentation in a hurry, and that was a mistake.
