Oneplus CEO Carl Pei has announced the release of OxygenOS 5.0 based on Android 8.0 for Oneplus 5.

Chinese company Oneplus has finally released a stable version of Android 8.0 for Oneplus 5. The update brings along OxygenOS 5.0 skin with major improvements, such as better performance and battery life, added "Adaptive model" screen calibration and added Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode. December security patch is also included.

Unfortunately, the update does not bring the support of Face Unlock feature from Oneplus 5T, but it will be added in the beginning of 2018. Around the same time Oneplus 5T will get the Oreo update.

Update is 1,58 GB big (at least 3 GB of free storage space are needed for installation) and will install only if the phone is charged to at least 50%.
