I didn’t go looking for them on purpose. It just turned out to be more interesting than I expected, especially with a 50mm prime lens.
Truth be told, I’m not really fond of sitting in the grass hunting for insects. In my blog, pictures of these tiny creatures have appeared only rarely — if at all, maybe a stray butterfly or two. But last summer, during a walk through the woods, I stumbled upon grasshoppers (and more), and they simply left me no choice. 🦗
Here’s a small series of black-and-white photos dedicated to the little inhabitants of the grass.
There were plenty of grasshoppers, and I took quite a few shots — but, alas, the best angle I managed to catch was their rear ends. 🤷
Of course, a butterfly showed up too. But the real surprise in the grass turned out to be a small, quick spider. He darted away pretty fast, but I still managed to snap a couple of frames.
That’s about it — nothing extraordinary. Maybe next time I’ll have better luck.
