This unremarkable photo is notable for the inscription on the advertising sign of one of the largest Russian retailers of household appliances. In the center of the sign, among the logos of well-known brands, there is a text that can usually be translated into English as We Сhoose the Best. However, the Russian word “отобрали” in this context has many meanings — take, seize, confiscate — and even take by force.
