A fountain is a surprisingly precise model of time.
It keeps repeating the same pattern: the jets rise and fall, the water returns to the basin, and everything starts again. But if you isolate a single moment within that motion, the opposite happens: the movement disappears completely, the water freezes in midair, and a few seconds become an eternity.
