Since last week, Monero has been in a downtrend, mainly due to the bearish mood of the market as a whole.

The asset has a market capitalization of 4.79 billion U.S. dollars, and is safe and completely untraceable cryptocurrency based on the CryptoNote Protocol. Earlier this week, the price reached $ 304.67 per coin, at the time of writing, the price per coin was $ 294.97.

People on the forums often discuss this cryptocurrency, 78% of the audience believe that the asset will be successful in the coming days and fall into the bullish trend. The upcoming hard fork will appear on the market on March 14, that is exactly two weeks, and will be called Monero V. Hard fork will have one serious difference from the original XMR, XMV will have a limited number of tokens.

The community has an ambiguous attitude to the hard forks. So Harley Quinn, a Twitter user and enthusiast of Monero, says:

"This is a 100% Scam. Let me understand this, you have to enter your Monero keys into the MoneroV wallet to require them so that if it has spyware they can steal your actual XMR. If you're smart enough to wait until after the fork and move your Monero, they'll still be able to de-announce all your PAST XMR transactions until now. So there's a good chance it's a direct Scam, a de-anonymization attack on the Monero blockchain or both."

The motivations behind hard forks Monero
All those who had XMR coins will be able to get XMV for free. For one coin users will receive ten XMV. The XMV command, they say, focuses on the importance of correcting system flaws, so they are more preferred.

The developers XMV consider unacceptable, "conservative", a centralized base team XMR, which, according to them, makes the implementation of any development and new technologies.

Earlier it was reported why hackers choose Monero as their target when using someone else's computing power in mining.
