We put together our first Magic Block

Siempre tuve curiosidad por estos juguetitos armables, siempre lo vi como algo un poco extraño, en mi país se volvió una tendencia muy común pero nunca me atreví a comprar uno, sinceramente sentía que no era para mí. Ayer por casualidad vimos una tienda que tenia varios diseños de estos magic blocks y mi hijo quiso uno, me anime porque primero le estaba comprando cosas por el día del niño y segundo, siento que seria una actividad divertida que hacer entre ambos y de hecho, asi fue.

I’ve always been curious about these little building toys; I always saw them as a bit strange. In my country, they became a very common trend, but I never dared to buy one—honestly, I felt like they weren’t for me. Yesterday, by chance, we saw a store that had several designs of these magic blocks, and my son wanted one. I decided to go for it because, first, I was already buying him things for Children’s Day, and second, I felt it would be a fun activity for the two of us to do together—and in fact, that’s exactly what it was.

Fue una actividad muy divertida aunque un poco estresante por momentos ya que las instrucciones que venían en la caja no encajaban con las piezas que teníamos, asi que tuve que buscar una guía en internet que cumplía con las fichas que teníamos nosotros.

It was a really fun activity, although a little stressful at times because the instructions that came in the box didn't match the pieces we had, so I had to look for a guide online that worked with the pieces we had.

Tambien es bastante difícil de hacer encajar las piezas al principio, después lo vas haciendo con un poco mas de facilidad, pero duelen muchísimo los dedos, aun me arden un poco. Estábamos super entusiasmados, mi hijo iba armando unas piezas mientras yo armaba otras y luego uníamos todo y estábamos viendo como poco a poco nuestro personaje tomaba forma.

It’s also pretty hard to fit the pieces together at first, but then it gets a little easier—though my fingers hurt a lot, and they’re still a little sore. We were super excited; my son was putting some pieces together while I put others together, and then we put everything together and watched as our character gradually took shape.

La peor parte fue cuando llegamos al sombrero, ahí si me sentí muy frustrada, no había manera de que ese sombrero encajara y como las instrucciones originales no servían para nada me tocaba guiarme por las instrucciones de internet que tambien siento que no eran 100% confiables, al final no se como logre encajar el sombrero pero quedo bastante extraño por la parte de atrás, tanto trabajo para que mi hijo en menos de 10 minutos desarmara de nuevo el sombrero, intente armarlo de nuevo pero fue imposible, asi que ahora mismo Luffy se encuentra calvo y sin la mitad de su cráneo.

The worst part was when we got to the hat—that’s when I really felt frustrated. There was no way that hat was going to fit, and since the original instructions were useless, I had to rely on instructions I found online, which I also felt weren’t 100% reliable. In the end, I don’t know how I managed to get the hat to fit, but it looked pretty weird in the back. All that work, only for my son to take the hat apart again in less than 10 minutes. I tried to put it back together, but it was impossible, so right now Luffy is bald and missing half his skull.

Es una actividad bastante buena la verdad, solo que a mi me vino con varios defectos, pero aun asi me encantaría conseguir otro de un personaje que me guste a mi para armarlo.

It's actually a pretty good activity, to be honest—it just came with a few flaws for me—but even so, I'd love to get another one featuring a character I like so I can put it together.
