Hopeless

Hola amigos, hoy quiero compartir un retrato que hice recién, este retrato lo quise trabajar con algo de realismo y una iluminación que me gusta mucho, el rostro cubierto casi en su totalidad con sombras y una luz reflejando en medio rostro hace que este retrato tenga en cierto modo un mayor impacto y sea algo mas melancólico, normalmente no me agrada trabajar con tonos cálidos pero esta vez elegí una gama de colores que es un poco menos saturada y que me hacia sentir mayor comodidad, espero que les guste.

Hello friends, today I want to share a portrait that I did recently, this portrait I wanted to work with some realism and a lighting that I really like, the face covered almost entirely with shadows and a light reflecting in the middle of the face makes this portrait has in a way a greater impact and is something more melancholic, normally I do not like to work with warm tones but this time I chose a range of colors that is a little less saturated and that made me feel more comfortable, I hope you like it.

Moría por trabajar de nuevo con un retrato tan detallado, hace mucho tiempo que no me dedicaba tanto a algo porque recientemente he tenido problemas en la mano, pero ya que me he sentido mucho mejor, me llené de paciencia y estuve feliz de hacer esto. Elegí una paleta de tonos cálidos con muchos tonos marrones, beige y amarillos desaturados, utilice el pincel difuso para depositar los colores base y ubicar la luz y sombras, luego agregue otra capa donde utilice un pincel duro y comencé a rellenar cada parte con mas tonalidades que darían ese realismo a la piel y la iluminación que buscaba, empecé por los ojos, a los cuales les definí mejor la forma mezclando los colores que había colocado de base y luego pinte el cabello de marrón oscuro y pocas iluminaciones con un marrón claro desaturado.

I was dying to work again with such a detailed portrait, it's been a long time since I was so dedicated to something because recently I've had hand problems, but since I've been feeling much better, I filled myself with patience and was happy to do this.
I chose a palette of warm tones with a lot of brown, beige and yellow desaturated tones, I used the diffuse brush to deposit the base colors and place the light and shadows, then I added another layer where I used a hard brush and started to fill each part with more tones that would give that realism to the skin and the illumination I was looking for, I started with the eyes, which I defined better the shape mixing the colors I had placed as base and then I painted the hair in dark brown and few highlights with a light brown desaturated.

Terminé de mezclar todos los colores del rostro dándole una textura suave, quise añadir en la frente una especie de grieta con un color marrón y luego añadí sombras y enrojecí un poco los ojos y nariz, luego añadí mas detalles de luz y finalmente edite el dibujo pero sin exagerar ya que realmente me gustaba como se veía, solo hice un ajuste leve de contraste.

I finished blending all the colors of the face giving it a soft texture, I wanted to add in the forehead a kind of crack with a brown color and then I added shadows and reddened a little the eyes and nose, then I added more light details and finally I edited the drawing but without exaggerating since I really liked how it looked, I just made a slight contrast adjustment.
