Crazy hat | Space

Buenas noches nuevamente amigos. Hoy fue un día muy difícil ya que deje para ultimo momento este trabajo para la escuela de mi hijo, para decorar la escuela en carnaval pidieron que cada niño llevara un “sombrero loco” realmente no sabia que era eso hasta que busque en internet y vi que son sombreros básicamente con diferentes decoraciones, suelen ser bastante coloridos y extravagantes, no sabía de qué temática hacerlo asi que pensé en algo que a mi hijo y a mi nos gusta mucho, le pregunte a la maestra si el tema era libre y me dijo que si, entonces me puse manos a la obra, elegimos hacer el espacio, se me ocurrió colocar estrellas, planetas, y hasta un Alien, una idea que en mi mente parecía sencilla pero la verdad no lo fue, empecé a las 9 am y termine a las 8 pm, no se si valga la pena tanto esfuerzo pero me sentí muy entretenida armando todo este sombrero, mañana mi hijo tendrá que entregarlo, este sombrero lo iba a hacer el fin de semana pero estaba muy indecisa con la temática que usaríamos, finalmente lo logre a pesar de que casi pierdo la espalda todo el dia sentada haciendo esto jajaja, tambien aclaro que este tutorial será mas que nada del sombrero ya que cada quien lo decora a su gusto, además no tome fotos de todos los pasos exactos de la creación del alien y los planetas ya que sinceramente llegue a un punto donde me perdí e improvise demasiado y olvide tomar fotos, sin embargo, pueden hacerlo de cualquier temática.

Today was a very difficult day since I left for the last minute this work for my son's school, to decorate the school for carnival they asked each child to bring a “crazy hat” I really didn't know what that was until I looked on the internet and saw that they are basically hats with different decorations, they are usually quite colorful and extravagant, I didn't know what theme to do it with so I thought of something that my son and I like a lot, I asked the teacher if the theme was free and she said yes, then I got down to work, we chose to do space, I thought of placing stars, planets, and even an Alien, an idea that in my mind seemed simple but the truth was not, I started at 9 am and finished at 8 pm, I don't know if it was worth so much effort but I felt very entertained putting this hat together, tomorrow my son will have to deliver it, I was going to make this hat during the weekend but I was very undecided with the theme we would use, finally I did it even though I almost lost my back all day sitting doing this hahaha, I also clarify that this tutorial will be mostly about the hat since everyone decorates it as they like, also I didn't take pictures of all the exact steps of the creation of the alien and the planets since I honestly got to a point where I got lost and improvised too much and forgot to take pictures, however, you can do it with any theme.

Empecé tomando un cartón grueso y realizando un círculo grande, no le tome la medida ya que lo hice usando la tapa de una olla, luego realice un circulo mas pequeño en el centro y recorte la silueta, empecé tambien a recortar el circulo del centro y bueno, para todo este proceso estuve usando tijeras y 3 cuchillos ya que el cartón era demasiado duro jajaja.

I started by taking a thick cardboard and making a big circle, I didn't measure it since I made it using the lid of a pot, then I made a smaller circle in the center and cut out the silhouette, I also started to cut out the circle in the center and well, for all this process I was using scissors and 3 knives since the cardboard was too hard hahaha.

En el cirulo del centro empecé a cortar tiras con la tijera, luego tome otro pedazo de cartón y lo enrollé para darle una forma de tubo, lo doble y lo pegue de la base del sombrero con ayuda de las cintas que recorte anteriormente.

In the center circle I started to cut strips with the scissors, then I took another piece of cardboard and rolled it to give it a tube shape, folded it and glued it to the base of the hat with the help of the STRIPS I cut earlier.

Recorte otro circulo para cubrir la parte superior del sombrero, lo pegue y comencé a forrar, en esta oportunidad utilice foami negro escarchado para forrar ya que la temática que escogí fue del espacio siento que este foami me ayudaría a darle ese brillo que vemos en un cielo nocturno estrellado, el sombrero era demasiado grande para el tamaño de la hoja de foami, por eso tuve que pegar por partes.

I cut out another circle to cover the top of the hat, glued it and started to line it, this time I used black frosted foami to line it since the theme I chose was space, I felt that this foami would help me to give it that shine we see in a starry night sky, the hat was too big for the size of the foami sheet, that's why I had to glue it in parts.

Básicamente asi se hace un sombrero, la decoración ya es aparte y en este momento fue donde comencé a improvisar, utilice una botella de refresco para simular una nave espacial, lo recorte por la mitad e hice lo mismo que con el cartón, recorte tiras en todo el borde, realmente no tenia idea de que estaba haciendo jajaja, tome cartón de una caja de cereal que es un cartón mas manejable que el anterior que utilice y fui pegando piezas hasta armar una especie de nave, la cual pinte de negro, luego dibuje un alien utilizando marcadores acrílicos y recortando y pegando esta silueta en un cartón para darle una mayor estabilidad, debajo del alien coloque una base de foami para que no se caiga y ahí lo pegue.

Basically this is how a hat is made, the decoration is already separate and at this point was where I started to improvise, I used a soda bottle to simulate a spaceship, I cut it in half and did the same as with the cardboard, cut strips around the edge, I really had no idea what I was doing hahaha, I took cardboard from a cereal box which is a more manageable cardboard than the previous one I used and I was gluing pieces until I made a kind of ship, which I painted black, then I drew an alien using acrylic markers and cut out and glued this silhouette on a cardboard to give it more stability, under the alien I placed a foami base so it would not fall and then I glued it there.

Como no tenia pintura plateada que seria la ideal para pintar la nave, utilice un marcador acrílico plateado y lo gaste casi todo pintando toda la nave, coloque la base negra para que el color agarrara mucho mejor y asi fue, luego pegue la nave espacial en la punta del sombrero, tambien dibuje algunas estrellas y las recorte para pegarlas y decorar el sombrero, al igual hice con los planetas, prácticamente todo el sistema solar cubriendo todo alrededor del sombrero.

As I did not have silver paint that would be ideal for painting the ship, I used a silver acrylic marker and spent almost everything painting the entire ship, put the black base for the color to grab much better and so it was, then paste the spaceship at the tip of the hat, also drew some stars and cut them to paste and decorate the hat, as I did with the planets, practically the entire solar system covering all around the hat.

Es increíble como se fue el día de rápido haciendo esto, es que tambien tuve que hacer algunas pausas para preparar el almuerzo y hacer otras cosas de la casa, aun asi em gusto mucho como quedo y además aprendí a realizar sombreros de una manera mas eficiente, hace mucho tiempo hice uno y me quedo horrible jajaja y bueno ya saben, pueden hacerlo de muchas cosas, yo vi decoraciones de juegos de monstruos y películas, es super divertido, pero bastante agotador.

It's amazing how fast the day went by making this, I also had to take some breaks to prepare lunch and do other things around the house, even so I really liked how it turned out and I also learned to make hats in a more efficient way, a long time ago I made one and it was horrible hahaha and well you know, you can make it of many things, I saw decorations of monster games and movies, it's super fun but quite exhausting.
