I can't believe how fast time flies—it hardly seems like it was just a couple of months ago that I quit smoking, and at the same time, it also feels like a long time ago. I'm not going to lie to you, even though I quit cold turkey and my body, despite everything, quickly got used to living without that damn craving, sometimes I dream about smoking again, or it’s even happened that when I’m stressed, I think, “Where did I leave my cigarettes?” Then I quickly remember that I’ve already quit.

Sometimes I get cravings where I wish I could have nicotine back in my life, but I also realize that it wasn't really something that calmed me down, much less did me any good; my lungs and my wallet thank me every day that I don't smoke.

A year ago, I was in pain from my swollen, bleeding wisdom teeth, but at the same time I was taking a giant step forward in my life by quitting smoking, trying to imagine a new life without the horrible smell of nicotine and the disgusting breath it caused. At the time, it felt awful—it was scary to think of a world without cigarettes—but as time goes by, the withdrawal symptoms gradually subside.

And I'm glad I quit before 2026 rolled around, since this year has been crazy and I probably would have smoked myself to death, haha.
