This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge
About two days ago I went hunting for insects in the bushes, but there wasn't much I could shoot there except a few. And one that interests me is a species of bush cricket with the binomial name Phaneroptera falcata.
In the past, these crickets were a little scary for children, because in ancient times people still believed in the myth that these crickets could carry magic or could act as intermediaries for magic. So when these crickets enter people's homes, it is almost certain that these crickets will suffer a tragic fate because they will be killed by the homeowner. Even in Aceh, Indonesia this cricket is referred to as "Daruet Jen" which means devil grasshopper. :)
