In this issue of #FungiFriday, I want to share two species of Marasmius mushrooms again. One is yellow and the other is red or slightly purplish. I got these two types of Marasmius mushrooms in different locations, the yellow one in the oil palm plantation area and the red purple one in the cocoa plantation area.
This little yellow mushroom in my opinion is the Marasmius limosus mushroom, this fungus is small and usually grows on dry leaves that begin to rot, such as cocoa, oil palm and areca nut leaves. And what I share is what grows on oil palm leaves.
En esta edición de #FungiFriday, quiero volver a compartir dos especies de hongos Marasmius. Uno es amarillo y el otro es rojo o ligeramente violáceo. Conseguí estos dos tipos de hongos Marasmius en diferentes lugares, el amarillo en el área de la plantación de palma aceitera y el rojo púrpura en el área de la plantación de cacao. Este pequeño hongo amarillo en mi opinión es el hongo Marasmius limosus, este hongo es pequeño y generalmente crece en hojas secas que comienzan a pudrirse, como las hojas de cacao, palma aceitera y nuez de areca. Y lo que comparto es lo que crece en las hojas de palma aceitera.
Then there's the Marasmius pulcherripes mushroom, this red-purple fungus that I got grows on wet rotting branches. Although both come from the same family, this Marasmius pulcherripes mushroom has a slightly larger size than the yellow mushroom above. And here are some photos:
Luego está el hongo Marasmius pulcherripes, este hongo rojo-púrpura que obtuve crece en ramas húmedas y podridas. Aunque ambos provienen de la misma familia, este hongo Marasmius pulcherripes tiene un tamaño ligeramente mayor que el hongo amarillo de arriba. Y aquí algunas fotos:
