Black Shouldered Kite !
Not many times one can see this beautiful bird perched nicely with an pleasing backdrop . So much goes behind making a good image , sighting skills , driving skills , awareness of light and that’s why I always feel peer photographer should be given a lot of credit , it’s a team effort.
Nothing is as reassuring as taking photos in the nature. Find the little creatures and observe them. I love this season.
Here’s one from the archives. A Long-tailed Cuckoo is one of only 2 passerines to migrate to New Zealand, where they breed in the Austral spring. They are one of the most elusive birds in New Zealand and it’s a rare occasion such as this to get them nearly eye-level and out of the thick canopy of the New Zealand bush.
